Easter Spoils

Lydia posing with all of her Easter goodies.

Andres and Siehara's Wedding

Andres and Siehara got married on Saturday April 11th at the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. Siehara of course looked beautiful. After the wedding they had a reception at a nearby chapel. It looked great, the food was great and everyone had a great time.

Here is a picture of my handsome boys!!

Lydia was tearing up the dance floor. She loves dancing and pretty much danced the entire night.

And here I am, trying to make Wesley fall asleep amongst all the loud music and chaos. He finally did and slept for a good hour.

Uraguayan Night and Easter Egg Hunt

Since Rafael's parents were in town for Andres (Rafael's brother) and Siehara's wedding, we decided to have a family get together. We usually have a Uraguayan night, where everyone brings some type of Uraguayan dish and so what better time to do that, then when his parent's were here.
We also decided to have a fun Easter Egg Hunt for the kids since Easter was only a few days away. Here is Lydia getting ready to go find some eggs.
Here are the girls after they collected their spoils.

Baby Shower for Baby Lucas

My sister-in-law Debbie is having a baby boy at the end of April, so we had a baby shower to celebrate Baby Lucas. I got to play hostess and of course, got to try out my cake decorating skills again. I think I am getting better, and was actually rather proud of my latest creation.

Thanks for everyone's help at the shower!

Another Cake . . . just call me Chef Cheryl

Lydia's birthday cake turned out well and I had some extra fondant left over, so I made another little cake for one of the Beehives in my YW class. Her birthday was on the same day as Lydia's. Here is a picture of her cake.

Lydia's 4th Birthday

Lydia turned 4 on April 5th. Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen were able to come from California to visit and be here for her birthday party that we had a few days before her real birthday. She has been asking for a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party for about 7 months. Luckily I was able to find Strawberry Shortcake party stuff at Zurcher's. That is the best store when it comes to party supplies and the only one that carried Strawberry Shortcake.

I decided I would try making her cake with fondant this year, and got a really great recipe for Marshmallow fondant. Several people said that Marshmallow fondant tastes way better than regular fondant, so I gave it a try. I love whipped cream frosting as well, so I made the cake out of both.

I also make some "strawberry" sugar cookies to go with the theme. I love these sugar cookies, so it gave me a good excuse to make them.

Lydia got lots of fun presents and had a great time with family and friends. Thanks to everyone for coming and for the great presents!!
