Lydia's 5th Birthday!

The morning started out with opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa.

One of the highlights was the movie Alice in Wonderland.

I can't believe my little girl is already 5 years old and will be starting Kindergarten this year. Crazy how time flies. We love her little attitude and how she loves the gospel so much already! We love you Lydia!

Easter Day

The Easter bunny visited our house and dropped off some yummy candy! Wesley actually was moving so fast to pick up the candy I couldn't even get a good picture of him! The kid loves his candy.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Coloring Easter Eggs hasn't been a tradition in our home, but I thought, 'Lydia is old enough now to make to much of a mess, so let's give it a try.'

Out came all the Easter egg dying stuff and the creating began.

Lydia and Grandpa hard at work on their eggs. Of course, my creative side couldn't hold back and I joined in on the fun.

I think our eggs turned out great and it was actually quite fun! Maybe a new tradition has begun.

Lydia's First Sponge Curler Experience

At Christmas time, we were in California and watched several home videos of when I was a little girl. We noticed a reoccuring theme, . . . on Sundays, my hair miraculously has hundreds of bouncing curls! Since then, Lydia has wanted to do the same. I finally bought some sponge curlers at the store and let Grandma do the honors.

The Result! Holy Curls Batman!

They did finally relax a little later that day. I have a feeling that curls might become a regular occurance!

Sweet's Candy Factory

Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen came to visit from California for Lydia's birthday, which I will post later. One of Lydia's requests was to go to Sweet's Candy Factory. She had recently gone on a preschool fieldtrip to the factory and wanted Grandma and Grandpa to see it.

Wesley wasn't quite ready to be put in the stroller yet, but once he got his hat on (see below) he was good to go.

Unfortunately I think we left with about 20 pounds of candy in tow . . . which, yes, we did eventually eat all of.

Grizzly Game

Several weeks ago we got to go to a Grizzly Game. The kids loved it! Wesley did get a little frightened everytime they scored and the load horns went off, but all in all, it was a fun night out with the kids.

Field Trip to Whole Foods Market

Lydia's preschool class took a field trip to Whole Foods and they learned all about healthy foods.

Wesley enjoyed the field trip in his stroller, blanket in hand.
Trying Almond butter, which she really liked.
After learning about all kinds of different foods throughout the store, the kids got to taste some. Organic pizza, healthy chips and oranges.
